Open Top Nissan GTR Show Winner

What are we looking at here!?
Liberty Walk has never been afraid to push boundaries and at Tokyo Auto Salon this year they reminded us why they remain one of the most talked about names in the game. Using the final generation Nissan R35 GT R as their canvas, they created something that instantly grabbed attention an open top widebody Godzilla that looks like it rolled straight out of a cyberpunk fever dream.
So is it a convertible?
This is not a convertible in the traditional sense. There is no folding roof no soft top no hard top just pure open air madness. Liberty Walk literally cut into one of the most iconic modern performance cars and rebuilt it with their unmistakable wide stance aggressive aero and unmistakable presence. The result is dramatic bold and impossible to ignore on the show floor.

Is this liberty walks final R35?
Dubbed a Final Edition build this car feels like a farewell tribute to the R35 era. A celebration of what this platform has meant to Japanese car culture and the tuning world as a whole. It is loud it is rebellious and it absolutely wins as a show car. No question this thing turns heads and steals cameras.
DO WE LOVE IT OR HATE IT?
But here is the real question is do we love it or does it feel like Liberty Walk is starting to play it safe. They have shocked the world with F40s Miuras Countachs and wild one off concepts before. Compared to those this feels less outrageous more familiar. Still stunning but not quite as mind bending. So what do we think. Is this a respectful evolution of the Liberty Walk formula or a sign that the madness is slowing down. Either way this is still an autoshow winner and a rolling piece of modern JDM art
